My Thoughts:
Having students comment on their original work allows them to identify their own learning and promotes student agency. As it states in the article it allows them to 'know what they know'. I would like to try this strategy with my new students this year beginning with UOI1. I think that the age group that I teach would be more than capable of commenting on their own learning. It will help them to connect prior ideas to new knowledge, which is a useful skill for them to be able to apply in all areas of the curriculum.
